Title: Novel Therapeutic Strategies for Chronic Pain and Neurodegenerative Diseases
Abstract: Chronic pain and brain injuries remain major challenges, with many current treatments offering limited effectiveness and significant side effects. In this talk, I will discuss how a naturally occurring system in the body, known as the Renin–Angiotensin System, can be used to better understand and treat these conditions. I will highlight our research on Angiotensin (1–7) and a modified version called PNA6, designed to improve stability and effectiveness in the brain. Our findings show promising results in reducing inflammation, relieving pain, and improving neurological outcomes, pointing toward safer and more effective therapeutic strategies.
